Arzu Vig (she/her) is currently in clinical training at Northwestern University studying mental health counseling and is part of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program. She obtained an MBA from Duke University, where she focused on developing technology-based mental health solutions for underserved and rural communities in need as a Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Fellow.

She has over seven years of experience providing mental health focused educational, preventative, and interventional pro-bono consultancy to schools and federal agencies and advocates for individuals suffering with chronic health conditions and disabilities. She is also heavily involved in community outreach efforts to destigmatize mental health among immigrant and refugee communities.

It is her belief that fostering a non-judgmental and supportive environment is vital to one’s personal growth and healing journey. This process begins with building a trusting relationship with oneself and those around us. When we feel safe, heard, and understood, we are better able to open up while trying to understand our past experiences and how they have shaped us. Arzu views each session as an opportunity to find comfort despite present circumstances and her goal is to help clients move towards a healthier future through individualized person-centered and strengths-based approaches. She understands how challenging the counseling process can be and wants all clients to feel supported along every step of their journey through patience, guidance, compassion, and empathy.
